My Actions Got Me Here pt.2
“Let go of fear” is something that I’ve been saying to myself a lot lately. A fear that isn’t even real to be honest because it’s self created. I’m the one who is constantly putting these restraints on myself which hinders my growth and kills the momentum that I’m constantly building and rebuilding because I have this irrational fear of a reality that doesn’t even exist.
The first project I ever released was titled Life’s Journey because I knew I’d be taking the long route. I just finished reading The Alchemist and like many of us that have read it know how easy it is to draw parallels between our lives and different characters within the book. At times I felt like the shepherd going on a journey to new lands to find my treasure and other times I felt like the crystal merchant stuck in the same place but content. The crystal merchant said many things that hit home but one very subtle line that he said was “you can’t hold back the river.” When I read that I damn near dropped the book. I can’t hold back the river. I can’t hold back the gifts that I’ve been blessed with. It’s not fare to me, to you and most importantly to the creator who gave me these gifts.
I’m not going to talk your heads off today. I know y’all came for the raps and not the yaps but y’all know I had to give y’all some insight on where I am mentally. Last year I said last year. So I won’t do the whole “this year I’m doing xyz.” I’m just going to let my actions speak.
