For Your Rotation (Oct 17th, 2025)
Culture of the Day has blessed us with a smooth and silky neo-soul rotation in honor of the recent loss of the legend, D'Angelo. Check out the article and playlist below!
Here with another entry into the “For Your Rotation” series!
I had a different list drafted for the entry this week, but I decided to go in a different direction. I wanted to make a rotation list of R&B and Neo-Soul as a dedication to D’Angelo. These have been genres that have been part of me my entire life, along with Hip-Hop. D’Angelo was the first person I heard when it came to Neo-Soul as a child, and I have been captivated ever since.
This week’s list is a dedication to him, and to showcase artists who have built and are continuing to build R&B and Neo-Soul. I included a mix of newer artists along with some of the Legends of these genres that have made some of my favorites. I hope this list will be able to show that these genres are still thriving and will be left in good hands.
