For Your Rotation (May 1, 2025)
We're kicking off the month with some HEAT. Culture of the Day BLESSES the feed once again. For your listening pleasure, enjoy!
Here’s another addition into the “For Your Rotation” series! If you have been enjoying this and found enjoyment, let us know!
It's been a laid back couple of weeks for me, and think this list showcases that. Usually it’s good to switch things up, but I think this week’s list is more of what I normally listen to on the daily. Sometimes, it feels good to surround yourself with what is familiar! I know for a fact, these songs have been on repeat lately for sure.
Protecting your peace is the greatest thing you can do for yourself in a world that seems lost.
Here are 10 songs I have been listening to lately that I think you might enjoy!
For Your Rotation! (May 1, 2025)
Saba - Symmetry
Released in 2016, this is one of my favorite Saba songs in his discography. Saba has been one of the most consistent artists when it comes to versatility, talent, and authenticity. This song is so smooth, and one that you can repeat numerous times! This song is from his 2016 album Bucket List Project (which remains one of my favorite projects to this day).
Producers - Ken Ross, Phoelix, & daedaePIVOT
Charlie Heat & Tdot illdude - DREAM
Released in 2019, this was a song that I instantly knew I would be hooked on. Charlie Heat’s production here gave me everything I wanted when it comes to good music. Tdot illdude’s vocals match perfectly, and was easily stuck in my head for a while! Another song to have on repeat a few times. This song is from Charlie Heat’s 2019 album FIREWORKS.
Dear Silas - Mikolton (Dat’s My Dawg)
Released in 2024, this is easily one of the most wholesome bangers to be released in a while. Dear Silas made a anthem dedicated to his dog, and it will have you hooked (and want a dog if you don’t have one). This song was stuck in my head for a long time, and I do not regret it at all! This song is from his 2024 album Cadillac Leather in July and his 2024 2-pack 601 DEGREEZ.
Producer - Noizy, Silas Stapleon III, & Shell Enns
MOYANA & 7VNTH - MUST BE LOVE
Released in 2025, this is one of my favorite songs so far this year. MOYANA’s vocals have been unmatched, and I am continually impressed! This song is a perfect example of her amazing vocals, and 7VNTH did an amazing job matching her with his production. I fully recommend you checking out this song! This song is from her 2025 album PTCHWRK.
Producers - Cameron Campbell
Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean, & Steve Lacy - 911 / Mr. Lonely
Released in 2017, this song is just a CLASSIC! I had this song and album on repeat the entire year 2017, so this song speaks for itself. The first half is so magical and makes you want to listen to it for hours. The second half has hard hitting lyrics that reflect on loneliness. If you want a balance of great music with great lyrics, this is for you! This song is from Tyler, The Creator’s 2017 album Flower Boy.
Producers - Tyler, The Creator
Headband Henny & Dumugly - Dan Campbell
Released in 2025, this is an anthem that Headband Henny and Dumugly made for the Detroit Lions named after the team's Head Coach. I really enjoyed this song a lot, and would get me hype if I had a song named after me!
Producers - Samuel Peters, & Felippe Luis Santos
Pell - Jam
Released in 2017, this is another song I hit repeat on every time it pops up. This song will have you locked in from the first verse. I honestly still know this song word for word to this day! If you want a solid throwback, this song is a great contender.
Producer - London On Da Track
syd B - Ego
Released in 2019, this song randomly came across my radar in 2023, and I’m glad it did! I really loved the production here, and the personal lyrics stood out to me. Ever since, syd B has been an artist I have kept up with and check out when she releases new music. This song is from her 2019 EP Water Me.
Producer - Johannes Burger, & Kyle Thornton
The Internet - Somthing’s Missing
Released in 2015, this song was my first introduction to The Internet. I first heard this song on a livestream in 2015, and I absolutely had to check out the group who made this. This song encompasses everything I love when it comes to R&B and Neo Soul, from the vocals to the production! This is an absolute must listen! This song is from their 2015 album Ego Death (which was one of my favorite albums that year).
Producer - Matthew Martin, Steve Lacy, & Nick Green
Elton Aura - Peach Tree
Released in 2022, Elton Aura is an artist I have been following since 2017, and that isn’t changing. This song showcases everything I love about his style that I do not get from other artists. The way he blends his melodies with his production, along with his thoughtful lyrics feels natural. If you want a great song for different occasions, this is for you!. This song is from his 2022 album Vert(EGO).
